You Are Less than $300 Away from Your Own Folding Bike

Everyone loves this bike — including me! You’ll read many accounts in my book, Round America with a Duck, of amazing interactions I had as a result of this bike. I did not think it was going to make it across the USA with me — but it did! With flying colors (literally). And the moments continue!

Sure enough, when I packed it up and unpacked it at the Greyhound bus station in Downtown Atlanta and Billy’s Truck Stop in Wildwood, Georgia for my recent WWOOF farm workstay on Lookout Mountain, folks gathered around. At my book signing at Trilith this past Saturday, there were oohs and aahs yet again when I took it out of its bag and assembled it:

And, yes, I was using it when I met Trilith visionary and chairman of Chick-fil-A, Dan Cathy (did you know Trilith intends to become the most bike-accessible destination in the USA? He has asked for my voice at the table):

I’m stopped and asked about the bike every time I ride it, including last night at Dunwoody City Hall where I went to honor my friend Jason (he’s mentioned in my book!) as he received the annual Sustainability Hero Award for our Metro Atlanta city. I thought I would shift back to my other bikes once I got home from my 10,000-mile/16,100-kilometer journey around the USA, but no. This is my daily bike of choice.

What’s in it for you?

I’m about to head out on yet another WWOOF adventure so I just ordered a bike bag from Zizzo, the company where I purchased the bike online (the bag I had been using is not from Zizzo and it’s ripped to shreads). Zizzo gave me a free 5% discount code for youClick here. They have lots of models (including an electric one). Mine is the Campo, and it’s currently available for under $300. That’s a steal.

So, this is a sign that it’s time to get your own folding bike (you know you want one — don’t know how to ride or need a refresher? I got you). (Note: I custom paint all my bikes so yours will look different.) You can take it everywhere. It fits easily in cars (and trains and buses, of course) — and most excitingly, shopping carts. No bike rack? No problem. Hope to see you out there — National Bike Month starts tomorrow!
