So yesterday right in front of CNN Center, I see a protest while traveling at the speed of bike. I think it’s maybe about Puerto Rico or the NFL (the Falcons were playing at that very moment next door at Mercedes Benz Stadium). I go up to one of the women holding a sign about genocide in Cameroon and I just shake my head. I say I am having trouble keeping up with all the tragedy happening seemingly everywhere. She says it’s the end of the world. I say maybe it’s finally time to begin again, and she smiles and we hug and for one brief moment all is lighter in the world. And then I wake up this morning to news about the deadliest mass shooting in US history in Las Vegas. When will this end? When will we begin again?
