Feats of engineering

IMG_2757.JPGIf you don’t mind driving or taking public transit to a destination to ride, there are lovely recreational paths all over the place, often with inspiring feats of engineering. (Pictured: South Peachtree Creek Trail off Clairmont Road in the Decatur, GA area. Huge portions of that trail feel like you are zip-lining on a bike!). Hardly any connect to anywhere to get a bite or run an errand, however, so plan accordingly. A notable exception would be the stunning greenway through wetlands and woods in Suwannee, GA, directly connected to its pretty darn vibrant new downtown. That one is worth a visit to see what’s actually possible as we redevelop suburbia elsewhere.
