I’m halfway through Round America with a Duck — my five-month, 7,000-mile cross-country experiential journalism journey via bikes, buses, trains and WWOOFing on organic farms.
I’ve run up the Rocky stairs in Philly, dipped my bike tire the Atlantic Ocean, sang Feelin’ Groovy while riding across the 59th Street Bridge, herded alpacas on the Kansas prairie, and am now waking up to the magestic foothills of the Rocky Mountains in one of the USA’s most bike-friendly cities. Next up, the Hare Krishnas! All while documenting climate impacts and the last remaining vestiges of hope in a country-at-a-crossroads and a world-in-crisis.
I’m blogging at RoundAmericaWithADuck.com and posting daily TikToks (often cross-posted on Instagram), which have received more than 100k views. And yes, my duck’s a hit (two ducks, actually). Tap in to #RoundAmericaWithADuck and join in the fun.
As always, trust the journey!
