Savvy readers of Round America with a Duck noticed I tipped you off to what is next. Yep, Ireland, here we come! In fact, we’re already knee-deep into the new project.
Hands-on experiential research (my specialty!) for Round Ireland with a Duck kicks off in September 2024 and lasts several months, taking Disco and me from Ellis Island to the Emerald Isle. It includes not just bikes, buses, trains and diverse WWOOF farmstays from the Irish Sea to the Atlantic Ocean but also the journey to dual citizenship.
If Round America with a Duck was a search for hope in a country-at-a-crossroads and a world-in-crisis, its sequel is a search for home — across borders and generations. It is my legacy project and most likely my final book. (See my other currently-available books here.)
