Last cone of the year?

It may have been the last ice cream cone of the year, and it was a good one, from Frosty Caboose in Chamblee, Georgia overlooking the train tracks just spitting distance away from a multiuse trail.

I got off MARTA there (with my bike) on my way back home from Downtown Atlanta because I knew their Taste of Chamblee event was going on. I also know autumn is nipping at our heels, and I may be moving on to hot chocolate before long so I wasn’t gonna pass up a cone.

A family pulled up while I was there, left their adult bikes (one a cargo bike, one with panniers) and two additional kids bikes unlocked, and went off to get their own cones or other tastes from the local restaurant tents lined up on the main street.

And then I rode the six miles or so home, acorns crushing under my bike tires and leaves beginning to fall.
