Newest Bookstore in the USA!

The newest bookstore in the USA, Prelude, is right here in the Metro Atlanta city where I live, Dunwoody, Georgia — which was the newest city in the USA in 2008! So we know how to embrace new here!

And, no surprise, they are already carrying my new book, Round Ireland with a Duck (the sequel to Round America with a Duck). The brick-and-mortar store hasn’t opened yet, but you can snag your copies of my books on their online site — and support local while doing so. Here are other boosktores (local and global) where you can get them:

Did you know that something like 80 cents of every dollar you spend with local stores stays in your community? And did you know that people on bikes shop locally more, and more often? And did you know that when those people on bikes are women, who control 80% of all consumer purchase decisions, you pretty much hit the local jackpot? All the more reasons for cities to make their public space safe and accessible for all!

Is there a books-and-bikes ride in my city’s future? Hmmm. Maybe I’ll create it. Check out the Dino-SOAR Around Dunwoody bike ride for a showcase of this city’s sustainaiblity attributes. I also created the Sustainability-in-Action bike tour for Bicycle Tours of Atlanta (a woman-owned company that is the number 1 outdoor activity in Atlanta on Trip Advisor, with more than 1,200 5-star reviews. Fun fact: I worked as a tour guide for them for a year.)
