I always get excited when I have a new student for my “Pedal Power with Pattie” classes, and today is no exception. I love love love helping women get back on bikes (or ride for the first time ever, as was the case with my last student, who is now whipping around a park on her own).
We may only get through a very small part of my custom-created curriculum today (based on the Smart Cycling course that I am certified to teach by the League of American Bicyclists, with additional rubber-hits-the-road tips), and that’s okay. I meet women where they are at, and wherever that takes us on our joy-based journey is fine. I know it’s a great value to folks’ lives — especially since my once-a-month classes are currently free!
If I ever do a hard-copy-version of my book, Traveling at the Speed of Bike, I may flesh this class outline out for you. In the meantime, there’s lots of useful info in the online version of the book that may inspire you to get out there and ride again (or for the first time), too.
