These photos, taken around the Martin Luther King Center for Nonviolent Social Change (while Traveling at the Speed of Bike and on the Atlanta Streetcar) are from my longitudinal photo essay, A Streetcar Named Aspire. I share them today in honor of MLK Day.
Here’s a short video taken five years ago at the MLK Day of Service at an urban farm* that used to be spitting distance from Dr. King’s Ebenezer Baptist Church. You can hear the “I Have a Dream” speech in the distance.
*now relocated elsewhere as condos or apartments are coming, although the land has been simply wild for the last two years and no construction has happened yet
