Amazon just announced its short-list of city finalists for its new headquarters. Five of the twenty cities are close to my heart — New York City, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, and Boston.
I grew up near New York City and moved to Atlanta from Manhattan; my older daughter graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and now lives in Los Angeles; and my younger daughter leaves for Boston University in the fall. I’ve ridden bikeshare in all of them except LA, which will happen in February.
Congrats and good luck to all five cities. I know the ability to ride bikes in each city was part of Amazon’s decision.
