Exciting debut of new red bike bell

Hey, it’s the little things, right? But actually, this bike bell is fairly important (and this bike didn’t have one yet). It is etiquette to give audible signal when passing someone via bike on a shared path (or anywhere, really). That usually means either saying, “Passing on your left” or ringing a bell. I ride frequently in and around Clarkston, GA, which is the most-diverse square mile in the USA and serves as home to refugees-of-war from dozens of countries, many of whom speak no English. So “Passing on your left” ain’t the best choice. Hence, the bell.

Singing Queen’s Bicycle Race song? That’s got universal appeal 🙂
