This is Nicky. He is Today’s Nice Stranger. I met him when I was leaving my book, Traveling at the Speed of Bike, in the Little Free Library at the Midtown Atlanta MARTA transit station plaza for Free Art Friday (it’s a thing).
He is from West Palm Beach, Florida, and is in Atlanta temporarily for work and had never heard of a Little Free Library before. He thought it was pretty cool .We had a few nice human moments together. I felt good about it. And then I thought about all my other Today’s Nice Strangers (there are over 100 in this album already, some of whom are now friends), and I decided: More of this, please. More of this.
So maybe that’s a focus moving forward. Like Humans of New York. But not.
