Something like 81% of Americans say they want to write a book. Yet so many people die with that desire still inside them, or their unpublished manuscripts stuffed under their beds. As a bike rider who risks death by motor vehicle violence daily, I didn’t want to be one of those people.
However, when I catch a glimpse of these two books on my night table or the others on my Kindle, I still can’t believe that I’ve done it. They are far from perfect and I am far from either rich or famous because of them. But they exist. They exist.
And one day, they will be proof that I did, too.
