Off the Wall

This new mural, by Yehimi A. Cambron Alvarez (discovered while Traveling at the Speed of Bike on a cold and windy day), is part of the Off the Wall partnership between WonderRoot, the City of Atlanta, and the Super Bowl LIII Host Committee. There will eventually be up to thirty new murals, all a result of community conversations and intentionally-selected artists telling Atlanta’s Civil Rights history and current ongoing challenges. I intend to see and learn about all of them and have already begun a deep-dive on all the artists. Some of their past work I’ve already photographed (some of which is already gone). Stay tuned!
