As I was looking for photos of my friend, Bob, I found a bunch of photos from our community gardening days. You may enjoy*. This one shows Food Bike, which is how I used to deliver fresh vegetables from the community garden to the food pantry across the street (until we had so much to donate that it would require half a dozen huge red buckets). I discovered pretty quickly that when I was Traveling at the Speed of Bike, the people waiting outside to go into the food pantry would smile and wave.
We went on to start a garden right at that location, where we would all plant and water and harvest together every single Wednesday. Where we all grew as a community. Where everything just seemed right for a little while.
