Two days ago these flowers were laid in commemoration of the three-year anniversary of when this girl was killed trying to cross the street to come home from school. She would be 17 now. Nothing much has changed on this street.
Today is the day that students in Parkland, Florida went to school and didn’t come home due to gun violence. Since then, nothing much has changed regarding gun safety.
Tomorrow children (mostly teen girls) will march yet again across Europe for climate change action. So far, nothing much has changed to save our world.
One thing is obvious. We are failing our children.
And that needs to change.
