Women gained the right to vote 100 years ago today. The bicycle played a fascinating role in the suffrage movement leading up to that, and this book designed for middle schoolers (but a colorful, fun read for all) is one of my very favorite about it.
In honor of the women who came before me, I vote for a better world with my pedals, dollars, ballot, and fork as often is possible.
