Greetings from the latest state (Georgia) to issue a shelter-in-place edict as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic (note: my county and city had already issued them). Our governor said two days ago, on April 1st, that he just found out that people without symptoms could spread the virus. And that wasn’t even an April Fool’s joke. Saying he just found that out was a blatant lie.
And so this is where we’re at, folks. Leadership that lies. Viruses that kill. And people like me who simply want to feel confirmation that their lungs are working for at least one more day by Traveling at the Speed of Bike.
And so I continue to take a leap of faith.
