Feel like a kid again. You can, you know. I’m ten years old again every single time I’m Traveling at the Speed of Bike.
And reminder — you can’t feel like a kid again the rest of your life if you didn’t ride a bike as a kid.
Help kids you know create these memories, especially if they are being gifted with a bicycle for Christmas. Put on the coats. Find a safe space. Advocate for more safe spaces (especially for all the kids receiving bikes from nonprofits who may truly have nowhere to ride). And look forward to hearing those famous words (or saying them yourself):
“Look, Mom! No hands!”
