This is the 100th photo of a sign I took while Traveling at the Speed of Bike that I added to this street photography album. That was five years ago right now, following Hurricane Isaac. Kaniyah (who was born on the side of the road as her mother fled Hurricane Katrina 11 years prior to Isaac) is 16, somewhere.
Today, Hurricane Ida continues its destruction through our country.
Fires engulf. Hospitals overflow. People die needlessly on roads.
Hate escalates. Hope plunges.
How many more signs do we need?
