Slice of Life

I mostly go alone to Clarkston, Georgia each week. I often drive to Decatur and ride my bike from there (12-15 miles total, depending on how much I putz around — see virtual bike tours of each city here at numbers 7 and 8).

People say they wanna come with me, but usually don’t. And frankly, I don’t mind. I like the time to think. I stop where and when I want. I make TikToks (see below, from yesterday). I dance and goof around. I meet nice strangers. I do the work I need to do (the watering, the wandering) at the Sharing Garden. And I inevitably end up sitting in the dirt by the train tracks eating a slice.

And it’s nice.
