After “taking the lane” (as usual) on Peachtree Street in Midtown, Atlanta, today (in the left lane in this spot when I’m about to make a left turn, and in the right lane in general otherwise), I gotta’ say — It. Feels. Great.
If you haven’t had the chance to do this yet on your bike where you live, brush up on your street skills (or get some instruction in them from a local League Cycling Instructor), and own your space.
Note: Know the aggression level of your local driving culture and get the hell outta’ there as soon as you can if you are somewhere you’re iffy about trusting.
Big thanks, Atlanta. I love you.
