Remember how much fun it used to be to ride your bike? Wanna get back out there and feel that freedom again, or thinking about biking to school with your kids, bike-commuting to work (even if it’s just for the final mile or so), running errands, using bikeshare when you travel or around the City of Atlanta, or just getting some more regular exercise? If you know how to ride a bike and have access to a bike in good working condition with at least three gears, this free class may be just what you need to get back in the saddle.
This women-only class in a suburban park just one mile outside the Perimeter in metro Atlanta provides a supportive environment where you can brush up on bike handling skills, learn a few hazard avoidance tricks, practice switching gears, learn trail etiquette, get an intro to road rules and tips, and find out how to choose a route where you feel comfortable so you can fit bike riding back into your life.
Registration required. Bring helmet and filled water bottle.
