In addition to already-planned classes in the metro-Atlanta cities of Dunwoody, Norcross, and Decatur, I am also in discussions about offering a free basic bike skills class for women with two mixed-use developments right in the heart of Midtown Atlanta—Atlantic Station and Colony Square (pictured while Traveling at the Speed of Bike).
These are both terrific areas with relatively good bike access where I ride my bike often. They also have excellent mass transit access as well as bikeshare so are prime locations for employees and visitors to utilize multi-modal transportation solutions. There is no reason why more bike travel can’t be a bigger part of the mixed use of these areas, especially once more people are empowered with tips and routes that meet their needs. Stay tuned!
