I have been crossing the bridge as a parent, and my job is now done. My older daughter, a full-fledged adult now after being graduated from the University of Pittsburgh as a Chancellor’s Scholar last year, has been living and working in Los Angeles for the length of time it took to birth her. My younger daughter was just graduated from high school after her own unique journey as a dual-enrolled home schooler at Georgia State University and is heading to Boston University soon as a Posse Foundation Scholar.
We are on the other side now as parents, as people, although we will always be mom and dad. We are ready for what’s next, however. In particular, I am looking for new career opportunities. This next stage is mostly exciting (and may even lead to another book), and, as always, I continue to trust the journey while Traveling at the Speed of Bike. If there is one thing I’ve learned along the way, it’s that I can’t do this thing called Life alone, and I would thus appreciate your help.
See here for links to buy my book, Traveling at the Speed of Bike, on Amazon in all global markets. I’m an indie author and your support is greatly appreciated. A portion of proceeds from the sale of all books is donated to help more women and girls ride bikes. Currently, that means funding my ability to do “Pedal Power with Pattie” Basic Bike Skills Classes for Women for free.
