Women-in-tech, and a couple of new nurses

PicMonkey CollageIt had been a few weeks since I led a Fall in Love with Atlanta Tour with Bicycle Tours of Atlanta because I have been busy on my scooter article (currently being fact-checked and undergoing a final edit at Ensia) as well as one with Unearth Women (currently in edits as well). Plus, I’ve been pilot-testing the close-to-my-heart Sustainability in Action tour (meet Carolyn and King, who both took the tour). So, yesterday was a pleasure to get back to the tried-and-true and to meet such nice and interesting people.

Our guests were six tech-industry professionals on a women-in-tech bonding outing from the company Splunk, and a couple from Ohio who both just graduated from nursing school (pictured here, along with random passing scooter riders, taken by a filmmaker who interrupted his work to offer to take this group shot).

And I got to work with my fellow Happiness Officer, Walt, who consistently exudes joy and passion about what he does. On the way home, I enjoyed one of the fans that recently appeared in the subterranean MARTA train stations (as they do each year once the relentless heat rolls into town, as it did about two weeks ago). Pretty much heaven on earth after Traveling at the Speed of Bike!
