I came upon this public piano while Traveling at the Speed of Bike home from the cemetery yesterday and banged out a frozen-fingered (R)ode to Joy.
And that’s that.
It has been a ride.
Note: My annual Traveling at the Speed of Bike goal is a “ton” of miles (2,000). I ended 2020 similar to previous ones with about 2,300 miles The awesome part? Most of the miles are transportation miles and serve as replacement for miles I would have driven. This year I took 338 bike “trips”; averaged 11 minutes per mile (hello, nice strangers with whom to talk and street art to photograph!); rode 414 hours; burned 109,191 calories; and climbed 122,839 feet. I’m proud of myself 🙂
